Stickerz

Privacy

Stickerz uses the camera so you can stick stickers on the picture with your hands. Nothing the camera sees is recorded or sent anywhere. This page covers what the game does with the camera, and the little it keeps.

The camera

When you press Turn on the camera, your browser asks to use the camera. Each picture from the camera is read right here on your device to find where your hands are: 21 points on each hand, like fingertips and knuckles. The game uses those points to tell when you pinch or grab, and holds them in memory only while you play.

The camera picture is never recorded, saved, uploaded, or sent to us, to Google or to anyone else. There's no face recognition: the game can't tell who anyone is, only where their hands are. When you close the page, the picture and everything the game worked out from it are gone.

The hand tracking is MediaPipe, software made by Google that runs inside your browser. When the game starts, the browser downloads it from Google and from jsDelivr, a service that hosts free software, the same way it loads any web page. Nothing from your camera goes along with those downloads.

While the camera is on, your browser shows a camera light or icon. Closing the page turns the camera off.

Photos

The photo button counts down from three and then saves a picture of the screen, stickers and all, to this device, the same way any download is saved. It is never uploaded or sent anywhere. Nothing is saved unless someone presses that button.

Saved in your browser

The game's settings are kept in this browser's local storage so they're the same next time: which camera to use, the volume, sticker size and the hand options. None of it leaves your device. The stickers you put on the screen are not saved. To clear the settings, clear this site's data in your browser's settings.

Fonts

The lettering comes from Google Fonts, which sees your internet address when it sends the font files.

Kids

Stickerz is made for kids, ideally with a grown-up nearby. There are no accounts, no ads, no chat and nothing to type, and we don't collect personal information from anyone, kids included.
